FAQs on billing and paying
How can I check my account balance?
If you are logged in, you can do that from your account. To see if you have still credit, select the "Control Panel / Prepaid Credits" item in the upper part of the navigation block. Note: Bills are automatically settled with your balance - if sufficient assets are present.
How do I see that one of my domain names has unpaid bills?
If you are logged in, you can see your bills by choosing "Control Panel / Invoices".
How long is the period of a domain name registration?
The subscription period of a domain name is usually one year - depending on the TLD it may be another period - see price list. 4reg.net sends out the invoice for the next subscription period 30 days before the end of the current one. A renewal takes only place, if the bill is paid before ending of the actual period.
Is there a period of notice?
Yes. If you no longer want to keep your domain name, you must respect a period of notice of 30 days. You must request the deletion of a domain name at the latest 30 days before the end of the current subscription period. If you fail to do that, you will have to pay the invoice for the next subscription period too. The decisive point in time is not the actual date of the deletion but the date on which 4reg.net receives the request for deletion, i.e. the confirmation for the deletion.
Deleting a domain in the course of a subscription period does not entitle you to any form of refund.
If you do not have appropriate assets on your account with 4reg.net and subsequent bills are not paid until at the latest 30 days before end of the current period, no renewal of the domain name takes place.
Is there a maximum limit to the number of domain names I am permitted to register? Are there any discounts available?
No. There are no limits on the number of domain names that any one individual or organisation is permitted to register with 4reg.net. There are interesting discounts (see domain priceing / discounts).
What does a domain name cost?
The current costs for registering and renewing a domain name are shown in our price list. In order to be able to use your domain name in the internet, usually you will have to pay further costs (for setting up name servers, web servers, etc.).
What happens if I fail to pay?
4reg.net sends you the bill 30 days before ending of the actual abo period and several reminders (before period ending). If you still fail to pay, 4reg.net will finally revoke (delete) the domain name concerned.
What means of payment are available to me?
You can pay upon bank transfer or online by PayPal.
